In the episode " D-Stabilized", during the intro, Dani Phantom says " Vlad is all the way in Colorado" before it cuts to him at his home in Amity Park. However, it is not canon since Butch Hartman, creator of Danny Phantom, or any episodes, ever mentioned it. Many episodes did suggest Amity Park having beaches and even palm trees, suggesting that Amity Park is on the west coast (for example, the bus scene from " Forever Phantom") or within California (where the show is produced).ĭavid Kaufman, voice of Danny Fenton, approximates Amity Park to be somewhere in Minnesota. In the episode " Fanning the Flames", Mr. In the episode " Double Cross My Heart", Elliot mentions being from Michigan, revealing that Amity Park is located outside of Michigan.Īnother implication that Amity Park is located in the central United States is the episode " Bitter Reunions", where Danny and his family accompany his father, Jack Fenton, on a road trip to Wisconsin for his college reunion. The body of water next to Amity Park could have very well been Lake Michigan. This hints that, possibly, " Lake Eerie" (seen in " Girls' Night Out" and " Claw of the Wild") actually replaces the real Lake Erie. Also in " Urban Jungle", the roots spread from the Great Lakes region of the United States to the rest of the world. In " Memory Blank", Lancer points his stick towards the Louisiana area of the United States. This is also supported by two other episodes in the series. Danny first travels to Florida to find the first gem, which is closer to the central U.S. The only states it is not located in are: California, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin.ĭuring " Reality Trip", Danny Phantom and his friends travel cross-country to find the " Reality Gems" located in Florida, Nevada, and California. The flanged mag came halfway down my pinky finger - not comfortable at all. All testers of both genders preferred the long magazine for shooting because it gave a firm purchase for all the fingers. Recoil wasn’t bothersome for anyone who shot it, including female instructors. The front and back of the grip-frame are aggressively stippled and the gun never moved in our hands when we shot it. The sights were decent: big and blocky with a single non-illuminated white dot up front. Trigger reach was perfect for my average-sized adult male hand, too. Stern was right about the “ergos.” The old Nano pointed low in my hand, something of a deal-breaker for me but the APX Carry pointed where I wanted it - if I closed my eyes and brought it up to the target, it was spot-on when I opened my eyelids. and includes a nice little nylon carry case for the pistol an eight-round extended mag a six-round magazine with a pinky rest and a flush floorplate for the latter to give a third configuration option. This little pistol comes out of the box weighing just under 20 oz. The APX Compact was a little chunky we wanted the APX Carry to be pocket size. Feedback on regular APX has been wonderful. You have more purchase with the hand on the frame. We changed the shape to bring the hand up significantly in the back of the grip. The Nano has been around since 2011 and was good in its time, but the APX is better, primarily with ergonomic issues. Stern says, “The APX Carry replaces the Nano. I asked Erik Stern, Beretta Product Manager for Tactical Products and Pro Shop, about how much of this pistol’s design DNA came from the Nano series, and how much from the service-size APX. ![]() The slide is pure APX in appearance with its distinctive wide-apart grasping ridges running the entire slide length except for flat spots by the ejection port, but the rest of the pistol harkens to an earlier Beretta pocket 9mm, the Nano of 2011. It uses what might be called a “semi-single stack” magazine, à la GLOCK’s recently introduced G48 and G43X. But the concealed carry/off duty gun market has an insatiable desire for smaller, slimmer 9mm pistols, and to satisfy this large niche now comes the Beretta APX Carry. Beretta included a chopped and channeled version - still with a double-stack magazine - they call the APX Compact. It does not store any personal data.Beretta came relatively late to the polymer striker-fired “service pistol” market, but their Apex in this format has drawn raves from most reviewers. The characteristics of the transactional or practitioner-centred approach contrast with those said to represent expert physiotherapy communication (Jensen, Gwyer, Shepard, & Hack, 2000 King et al., 2007). The structured, repeatable nature of interactions may reflect the clinical reasoning process employed by therapists (Hiller & Delany, 2018), which may further reinforce the task-centred nature of the interaction. This approach, which some have labelled ‘transactional’ (Bright, Kayes, McPherson, & Worrall, 2018) or ‘practitioner-centric’ (Hiller et al., 2015), places the therapist in control of the interaction, determining what is discussed, known and done, and reflects dominant biomedical models of physiotherapy practice (Nicholls & Gibson, 2010). Such a task-focused approach is often dominated by the therapist (Roberts & Bucksey, 2007) and may focus on the patient’s impairment, with less attention to the patient’s emotions, experiences, and context (Hiller & Delany, 2018). In physiotherapy, communication is commonly focused on ascertaining information, making a diagnosis, conveying an ‘appropriate’ treatment plan, and providing patient education (Hiller, Guillemin, & Delany, 2015). Through communication, physiotherapists demonstrated and reinforced their expertise while simultaneously positioning the patient as the recipient of care and knowledge. It was presented as an act done to the patient by the physiotherapist, with little attention to the patient’s communication and involvement in the interaction. ![]() Results: Communication was understood as uni-dimensional. Methods: This study was underpinned by a social constructionist epistemology. Aim: This study explored how physiotherapy students conceptualised clinical communication. Understanding how students understand communication and how this is influenced by the curricula can help educators consider how best to enhance communication knowledge and skills.
